Tame pigeon, Spud, has gone missing from his Dovercourt home

A RETIRED couple are calling for help to find the tame pigeon they raised from two days old.


A RETIRED couple are calling for help to find the tame pigeon they raised from two days old. 


Couple call for help to find their tame pigeon

Charlie and Betty Cornish, of Gravel Hill Way, Dovercourt found the baby bird, which had not yet grown feathers, in their letterbox in July.

Named Spud, the bird became so friendly he would sit on the shoulders of the couple and eat from a spoon.

But last week he went missing and the couple fear he is trapped in a pigeon loft.

Spud is a white pigeon with some black tail feathers and some black on his face - he also has a red tag on his left leg.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 01255 504243.
